Customix’s latest updates bring 3D Product Preview to your storefront, letting shoppers see their personalized designs on a product model. You can also apply an Option Set to multiple products at once and organize artwork choices with Image Swatches that support folders and subfolders.

Let’s take a closer look at what’s new!

1. 3D Product Preview

Bring Personalized Designs to Life with 3D Preview

Give shoppers a new way to see their personalized products. With Customix 3D Product Preview, their chosen text and artwork appear on a three-dimensional model, showing how the design fits the product’s shape and surface.

Set up the model to match your product

Choose a suitable model, map your artwork to the relevant areas, and configure colors or patterns for different variants. When variant appearances are configured, the preview reflects the shopper’s selection.

Find it in the 3D tab of the Option Set editor, available on Pro and Elite.

2. Multi-Product Setup

Apply Your Option Set to Multiple Products

Once your personalization setup is ready, you can apply it to several Shopify products with Publish to products. Reuse the same text fields, image choices, and design layers across your collection without rebuilding each Option Set individually.

One setup, separate copies
Each selected product receives its own copy, so you can adjust the design for that product afterward. Changes to the original Set won’t automatically update the others.

To get started, save your Option Set, open Settings → Publish to products, and select your products. Review the preview images, artwork placement, and print areas on each copy before making it live.

3. Image Swatches

Organize Your Artwork with Nested Image Swatches

The updated Image Swatch supports folders with subfolders, helping you group artwork into more specific choices.

For a pet collection, start with Dogs and Cats, then organize each by breed, coat color, and eye color. For example:

  • Dogs → Husky → Black & White → Blue Eyes
  • Cats → Persian → White → Blue Eyes

Shoppers browse the groups and select a matching illustration to display on their personalized product.
