Adding the print file link to your order confirmation email lets customers check their final design right after they order. It builds trust and helps you catch mistakes early.
Step 1: Open the order confirmation template
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Notifications, open Customer notifications, and click Order confirmation. Click Edit code.
Step 2: Find the line item title
Press Ctrl + F (or Cmd + F on Mac) and search for the line that prints the product title. In Shopify's current template, it appears 4 times, once for each way Shopify lists items (split-cart orders, per-delivery items, bundle components and standard orders). You need to add the snippet under every occurrence.
Step 3: Paste the snippet
Below each occurrence, paste the snippet that matches the loop variable used in the surrounding code (line or component). Chat with us and we'll send you the exact snippet for your template, or paste it for you.
Step 4: Save and test
Click Save. Search the template for `_cm-print-file-1` to check it appears in 4 places, then use Preview or place a test order to confirm the Production file link shows under the product title.
