Templates are ready-made option sets designed by the Customix team, complete with previews, artwork and options. Starting from a template is the fastest way to launch a personalized product: pick one close to what you want, then change the text, artwork or product photos.

Step 1: Open the template library

Go to Option sets and click Templates in the top right. Browse by product type on the left (Apparel, Drinkware, Frame, Home Decor, Jewelry and more), or search by name.

Each template shows how many options it has and a label:

  • Free: A simpler template, a good starting point.
  • Advanced: A template with more options and effects.

Step 2: Use a template

Click a template card. Customix creates:

  • A new option set with the template's previews and options.
  • A new Shopify product with the same name, already published and Live.

The editor opens so you can make the template your own.

Make the template your own

  • Change default text, fonts and colors in each option.
  • Replace artwork in swatch options with your own designs from Assets.
  • Swap the product image if you sell a different blank.

Click Save when you're done.

Use your own product instead

Already have the product in Shopify? In 2 Publish, click Browse to add your existing product, then remove the product the template created. See Publish an Option Set to Products.
